Morocco

In 2020, Morocco will continue the development of its INFF with support from the UN Joint SDG Fund.

Building upon Morocco's Government Programme 2016-2021, the 2030 National Sustainable Development Strategy (2016) and a financial inclusion strategy (2019), the INFF will support and accelerate the implementation of national SDG priorities. A particular focus will be on human capital development and socio-economic inclusion. The INFF will also contribute to strengthen multi-stakeholder dialogues and build new constituencies on SDG financing priorities and modalities.

The transformational nature of the INFF arises from the fact that it is built on a government-led strategies. The INFF will leverage additional financing by blending public and private sector resources with official development assistance. The INFF will focusing on supporting resilience building, social protection, universal health care and poverty alleviation through the financial inclusion of marginalised populations, particularly women and youth, and small businesses.
