The INFF will be a nationally-owned initiative anchored in Tajikistan’s National Development Strategy for 2016-2030. With a clear commitment to leave no one behind, the INFF will promote evidence-based policies and actions backed by disaggregated data by gender and other vulnerability metrics. The focus will be on building technical and managerial capacities and on strengthening partnerships with key government institutions. The INFF will improve the accountability and transparency of the government's budgeting practices in order to achieve the national SDG targets.
The INFF approach is focused on systemic change. First, the integrated resource mobilisation strategy becomes embedded in government systems, national poverty will gradually go down as the use of alternative off-budget sources for SDG financing increases.
Second, the principle of gender equality, non-discrimination, and addressing vulnerabilities amongst the population will be firmly embedded in government policy. Third, the quality of education, including early childhood development will improve. Lastly, as the government implements its INFF roadmap and acts upon the policy recommendations made in the INFF and DFA, additional financial resources will be leveraged to support achievement of the national SDG targets.
